What you will do
- Support EHS management systems by drafting standard operating procedures, guidance documents, and training materials.
- Prepare environmental reports, including waste, SARA Title III, air emissions, and medical waste reporting.
- Manage EHS software covering incident investigations, area inspections, CAPA actions, permits, and training records.
- Lead incident root cause analyses and support departments with corrective and preventive action plans.
- Lead emergency response, first aid, spill response, evacuation planning, employee training, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Manage hazardous waste, industrial hygiene projects, ergonomic assessments, site KPIs, and related reporting to site leadership.
Requirements
- 4+ years of related experience in health, safety, emergency response, environmental compliance, or risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related science discipline; environmental engineering, environmental science, occupational safety, or industrial hygiene is preferred.
- Experience with environmental reporting, hazardous materials, policy and procedure implementation, training, and industrial hygiene issues.
- Ability to work with biohazards and chemicals, wear appropriate PPE, and perform physical activities including lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- English proficiency is required for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; ability to travel domestically up to 10%.
Nice to have
- CHMM, CSP, ASP, or CIH certification.
- Experience managing biosafety, radiation safety, or potent compound programs.
