Fabrication Mechanic - Polish Operator - 2nd Shift (Aerospace)

Location: 93 Lexington Drive, Laconia, NH, United States. Onsite, 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM, with a $1.00 shift differential.

What you will do

• Inspect manufactured parts for defects and material-handling damage.
• Clean, scrape, file, wire-brush, deburr, polish, grit-blast, and grind parts.
• Mount and change abrasive tooling, including rubberized abrasives and bench-grinder wheels.
• Operate Dremel tools, hand-held die grinders, Flex-hone wire brushes, and grit-blast cabinets.
• Use compressed air to clean the interior and exterior of parts after polishing.
• Maintain reliable attendance and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months of related experience or training is acceptable.
• Pass a respirator medical evaluation and fit test before performing duties and annually thereafter.
• Wear a respirator for an average of eight hours per workday.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Close vision, ability to adjust focus, and consistent, punctual attendance.
