Product Manager (SRA - VDB)

Location: Remote work available for candidates currently residing in the United States; NIH-Bethesda.

What you will do

• Drive product modernization for a large public repository of high-throughput DNA sequencing data.
• Define product vision, manage the roadmap, and prioritize requirements against business goals and user needs.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product releases to meet milestones and contract deliverables.
• Prepare product requirements documents, success criteria, KPIs, executive reporting, and risk mitigation plans.
• Conduct user outreach, user research, market and competitor analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate across product and development teams to improve platform usage and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software product management experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Jira and agile methodology.
• Experience leading KPIs, executive reporting, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and MURAL.
• Ability to lead strategy and discovery sessions and synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree is desired.

Nice to have

• Product Management certifications or experience.
• SAFe Agilist certification.
• Experience with genetic and biological DNA sequencing data.
• Familiarity with NGS computational tools and formats such as BWA, GATK, and Galaxy.
