Head of North American Compliance (NY)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid schedule with office attendance Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Annual base salary: $250,000–$300,000

What you will do

• Serve as Designated Compliance Officer and lead compliance activities across North America.
• Strengthen internal controls and enhance the compliance program, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee monitoring programs, including securities trading monitoring, and develop monitoring plans.
• Manage regulatory reporting, including Form NRSRO, Form 25-101F, and related documentation.
• Coordinate regulatory inquiries and examinations with the SEC Office of Credit Ratings, the Ontario Securities Commission, and other stakeholders.
• Manage US-based compliance staff and prepare reports for management and the Board.

Requirements

• JD or equivalent qualification.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing compliance teams and improving organizational efficiency.
• Knowledge of SEC regulations, particularly those applicable to credit rating agencies.
• Experience drafting or reviewing policies and procedures and working with securities laws in highly regulated environments.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and productivity.
