PHP Developer (Fixed-term Contract)

Location: Hybrid in Vilnius, Lithuania

Hourly rate: €28–€38 per hour, depending on experience and technical expertise.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance PHP-based insurance applications and business-critical systems.
• Build and maintain backend functionality, REST APIs, integrations, and database-related components.
• Analyze existing solutions and implement new functionality, fixes, enhancements, and technical improvements.
• Contribute to system modernization and technology upgrade initiatives.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, production support, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with PHP 8.x.
• Experience with MySQL, CakePHP, and Symfony, preferably the latest versions.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, integrations, and web application architecture.
• Experience maintaining business-critical applications and analyzing existing code.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and version control.
• Good communication, collaboration, and adaptability in changing technical environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with system modernization, technology upgrades, or application uplift.
• Previous experience in the insurance sector.
