Software Engineer Mid Level C++ (Fix term 1 year)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with four days in-office each week

What you will do

• Build and maintain exchange connectivity software in a team of approximately four developers and two QA engineers.
• Develop high-volume, low-latency data feeds for direct financial exchange connections.
• Develop and maintain key libraries used across the engineering team.
• Develop underlying transport protocols for data transmission.
• Write efficient code, support frequent deliveries, and improve development, testing, and deployment quality.
• Provide limited out-of-hours third-line support alongside the dedicated operations team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in software development or a related field.
• At least two years of experience developing in C/C++.
• Experience developing on Windows platforms.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Willingness to work in an agile, multifunctional team and participate in knowledge sharing and mentoring.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of TCP/IP and multicast communication protocols.
• Knowledge of automated testing and deployment techniques in a CI/CD environment.
