Senior Property Underwriter, Italy

What you will do

• Underwrite new and renewal Property business and develop creative solutions for complex risks.
• Build relationships with brokers and clients, communicate risk appetite and value propositions, and understand deal structures and products.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, and deal structures with brokers and clients.
• Generate new business by expanding the broker network, attending broker events, and developing market relationships.
• Collaborate with Distribution, territory managers, and underwriters across business lines to target desirable accounts and cross-selling opportunities.
• Guide, mentor, and train less-experienced underwriters while maintaining high customer service standards.

Requirements

• Proven underwriting experience with strong knowledge of Property.
• Ability to analyze financial statements.
• Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Customer- and sales-oriented behavior, including motivation, tenacity, technical skill, proactivity, and accountability.
• Interest in mentoring and training less-experienced underwriters.
