Associate Director, Clinical Program Management (AI Drug Discovery)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work with office attendance required 3 days per week

What you will do

• Lead the transition of internal programs from pre-IND planning to clinical trial execution.
• Develop and manage integrated project plans covering operational strategy, timelines, risks, dependencies, and clinical objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional clinical trial teams, lead project meetings, and support decision-making and documentation.
• Collaborate with preclinical program managers, AI/ML specialists, and data science teams to implement solutions that improve speed, scale, and probability of success.
• Manage external vendors, CROs, partners, and collaborators, including budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
• Report on clinical study execution and portfolio management while resolving issues affecting key deliverables, timelines, and budgets.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a clinical program from IND through late-stage clinical development within planned timelines and budgets.
• Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and collaborators.
• Experience managing large budgets and complex interdependent timelines with project management tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing timelines and priorities and motivate interdisciplinary teams and vendors.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model and attend the Cambridge office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Formal program management qualification such as PMP.
• Experience working as part of a global team across countries.
