Immunoassay Biomarker Scientist (Neuroscience)

Location: Boston, MA, USA; on-site laboratory work required

Salary: $36.00–$41.00 per hour, based on education and related experience.

What you will do

• Develop and validate novel immunoassay-based biomarker methods for neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, and rare brain disorders.
• Perform experiments supporting preclinical and clinical characterization of therapeutic molecules.
• Plan and execute immunoassay method development, optimization, validation, and sample analysis.
• Analyze serum, plasma, CSF, tissue, and sample lysate from preclinical samples and clinical cohorts.
• Work directly in the laboratory and summarize and report method status and results to internal partners.
• Implement assay validation procedures to deliver high-performance biomarker assays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field.
• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience using ELISA and MSD.
• Strong understanding of immunoassay principles, antibodies and ligand-based molecules, assay design, protein biomarker quantification, and assay validation.
• Hands-on experience with protein biomarker applications, including clinical diagnostics, clinical trials, or preclinical sample analysis.
• Experience handling human or animal specimens, including tissues and biofluids, under BSL-2 or equivalent safety conditions.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Clinical sample analysis using immunoassay methods.
• Electrophoresis, Western blot, Ella, Simoa, NULISA, or SpearBio experience.
• Experience with GLP, CLSI, or CLIA validation standards.
