TL;DR
Lead Technical Analyst (AI) (Datalink observability and configuration systems): Leading the definition, design, and modernization of large-scale software systems for monitoring, provisioning, and configuration management across SITA's global infrastructure with an accent on distributed systems, telemetry, APIs, and secure-by-design engineering. Focus on designing scalable production-ready capabilities, modernizing legacy platforms while maintaining operational continuity, and guiding engineers through complex technical decisions.
Location: Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid schedule with work from home up to 2 days per week; flex-location permits working from any location in the world for up to 30 days per year.

What you will do
- Lead requirements definition and system design for next-generation Datalink monitoring, observability, provisioning, and configuration management systems.
- Guide engineers through implementation, technical reviews, quality standards, and complex problem-solving.
- Modernize legacy monitoring and configuration management assets while maintaining operational continuity.
- Define scalable provisioning and configuration capabilities aligned with lifecycle management, validation, deployment, and governance practices.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product managers, operations teams, and business stakeholders across distributed teams.
- Maintain architecture documentation, operational procedures, technical backlogs, and secure-by-design practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Lead Technical Analyst, Lead System Engineer, or equivalent in complex, large-scale software systems with technical leadership.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration and observability tools including Grafana, Alloy, Loki, Mimir or Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry Protocol.
- Deep expertise in software and system design, distributed systems, enterprise application development, and modern programming paradigms.
- Experience with software integration, configuration management, REST and SNMP APIs, TCP/IP, microservices, backend systems, and Kafka-based event systems.
- Ability to lead technical reviews, establish quality guidelines, resolve complex challenges, and collaborate in an international distributed environment.
- Fluent professional English; a university degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience in aviation, telecommunications, networking, or mission-critical systems.
- Knowledge of operational support systems, service management, configuration management, or ServiceNow.
- Experience managing or technically leading a small engineering team.
- Fluent professional French.
