TL;DR
Senior Software Test Automation Engineer (Fullstack) (Playwright/Cypress, TypeScript/Python): Architecting and optimizing scalable frontend and backend test automation frameworks for reliable, performant software products with an accent on REST API, AWS, and CI/CD testing. Focus on designing comprehensive automation suites, investigating test stability and execution speed, and leading quality strategy across agile, DevOps, cybersecurity, and architecture teams.
Location: Kosice, Slovakia; onsite five days a week
Base minimum pay: €49,200 per year

What you will do
- Design, maintain, and optimize automated testing frameworks for frontend and backend applications, REST APIs, and AWS services.
- Define and improve testing standards, coding standards, best practices, and automation patterns.
- Develop test scenarios and automation suites for functional and non-functional requirements as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute load, scalability, and security tests; investigate complex issues; and report results and defects.
- Refine acceptance criteria, build test strategies, assess risks, and contribute to architectural quality decisions.
- Mentor test engineers, developers, and cross-functional partners through code reviews, technical workshops, and quality coaching.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in test automation with hands-on expertise in Playwright or Cypress.
- Strong coding skills in TypeScript or Python and practical application of object-oriented programming principles.
- Strong experience testing REST APIs, using Git, and working with CI/CD.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across the stack.
- Understanding of agile methodology and strong communication skills for influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English is required.
Nice to have
- Leadership experience, mentoring skills, and experience driving quality initiatives or automation transformation projects.
- Docker, database automation testing, microservices, and cloud-native architecture experience.
- Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, AI testing, non-deterministic behavior, and AI-assisted QA tools.
