Federal Credits and Incentives Tax Intern - Summer 2027 (Tax)

Location: McLean, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required

Salary: $36–$43 per hour

What you will do

• Support tax planning and research related to R&D credits and other federal credits and incentives.
• Assist with multiple client projects involving interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and resource coordination.
• Draft opinion letters and other technical memoranda.
• Develop an understanding of client businesses and help drive the success of R&D and federal credits engagements.
• Maintain professional competency through continuing education and additional certifications.

Requirements

• Complete at least 90 credit hours.
• Work toward a B.A. or B.S. degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Must travel to assigned client locations and have access to reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, computer, teamwork, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
