St Louis Technology Audit & Advisory Experienced Consultant (AI)

Location: St. Louis, United States. Hybrid work is required, combining local office, client-site, and remote work; travel may include local and out-of-state client engagements. hirify.global is not registered to hire or employ personnel in West Virginia or Alaska.

Salary: $62,000–$93,000 annually, plus a $2,000 bonus target; estimated total cash range of $64,000–$95,000.

What you will do

• Conduct client interviews, gather and analyze data, and document audit findings and recommendations.
• Assess technology risks, controls, and processes across cybersecurity, cloud assurance, IT general controls, and technology risk management.
• Support audits and advisory engagements involving AI and data governance, data privacy, technology regulations, enterprise applications, resilience, and emerging technologies.
• Prepare process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
• Use analytics, AI, automation, and other technology enablement methods to improve audit execution and insight.
• Build client relationships, manage assignments, and collaborate with project teams across multiple industries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology, cybersecurity, business, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in internal audit, consulting, assurance, risk and control programs, or a related field.
• Understanding of IT audit methodologies and internal control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, and ITIL.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, including technology-related implications and requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Visio and Access is emphasized as a secondary skill.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model from the St. Louis area, including office and client-site work and potential travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or RPA solutions.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or a similar credential.
• Exposure to analytics, AI/ML, cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, enterprise applications, or disaster recovery.
