Service Training Specialist (Automotive)

Location: Parsippany, New Jersey, United States; on-site training in Parsippany and travel to remote training locations throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Travel is approximately 25%, up to 50% based on business needs. Applicants must already have the right to work in the United States; visa or work authorization sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $110,100–$178,900.

What you will do

• Conduct Lexus technical training classes at the Parsippany facility and remote locations across the Eastern Area.
• Schedule classes, prepare classrooms and facilities, and complete post-class activities.
• Consult with Lexus dealers to identify technician training needs and support technician development.
• Maintain course knowledge, the technical training center, training vehicles, tools, equipment, and facilities.
• Participate in teams developing new and redesigned Lexus technical courses.
• Support regional initiatives, dealership service technology advancement, events, schools, meetings, and partner training.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of automotive technology, automotive repair, and technical instruction.
• Ability to communicate technical content, adapt instruction to different experience levels, and perform hands-on demonstrations safely.
• Familiarity with hybrid vehicles, battery electric vehicles, and diagnostic technologies including oscilloscopes, NVH, pressure transducers, and Mega/Milli Ohm Meters.
• ASE certifications A1–A8 and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to meet company driving and motor vehicle record requirements and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Advanced ASE certifications including L1, L3, L4, xEV Level 1, and xEV Level 2.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience facilitating technical training or instructor-led learning.
