Lead Embedded Software Engineer (Embedded Linux)

Location: Xi'an, China; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Define and evolve software architecture for new embedded products.
• Develop, document, test, and validate software in embedded Linux environments.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and software design discussions.
• Improve continuous integration processes and build and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with global teams to debug issues and improve software performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in embedded development and experience with large-scale embedded projects.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of C, Linux kernel, drivers, multithreaded programming, and inter-process communication.
• Knowledge of embedded distributions such as Yocto and Buildroot, plus Git version control.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and solve complex technical issues.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English; the role is based in Xi'an, China.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Rust, Zephyr, C#, and communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, and MQTT.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts.
