American Girl NYC - Cafe Lead (FT/Benefitted)

Location: 75 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, New York; on-site, full-time

Compensation: $21–$24 per hour

What you will do

• Support restaurant leadership with staffing, hiring, coaching, training, purchasing, vendor relations, and inventory management.
• Maintain food and beverage quality, consistency, safety, sanitation, and service standards.
• Help achieve department revenue and expense goals.
• Resolve customer service issues and ensure a high-quality dining experience.
• Coordinate with restaurant and store management to deliver events and programs.
• Maintain operations and troubleshoot kitchen equipment, reservation, POS, paging, and restaurant software systems.

Requirements

• Restaurant experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferably with front- and back-of-house exposure.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to walk and stand continuously and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work effectively with staff, restaurant leadership, store management, and customers.

Nice to have

• Experience working with children.
• Current state sanitation certification, ServSafe certification, and Safe Alcohol Consumption Certification.
• Experience with Eatec, Microsoft Office, InfoGenesis, Universal Desktop, Zomato, JTech, POS, and inventory systems.
