What you will do
- Perform diagnostic PET imaging procedures, including radiopharmaceutical and IV contrast injection, oral contrast administration, protocol setup, patient positioning, image reconstruction, and filming.
- Transfer, print, archive, retrieve, track, and log patient imaging data and films.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and management on technical issues, equipment performance, and quality assurance.
- Conduct daily quality control measures and report equipment malfunctions or service needs.
- Support procedure scheduling, front-office workflow, patient file accuracy, report distribution, and clinical data collection.
- Recognize contraindications and possible reactions to IV contrast and follow required response procedures.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an AMA-accredited program, or a degree in Radiologic Technology with PET-CT certification.
- CNMT and/or ARRT (N) certification and applicable state licensure.
- Level 1: three to five years of nuclear medicine experience; Level 2: at least five years, including two years of PET or nuclear medicine experience.
- Senior level: bachelor's degree and at least four years of nuclear medicine PET experience.
- General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems, quality standards, patient safety, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with patients weighing up to 300 pounds.
