Sr Consultant, Financial Reporting

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: $74,700–$126,900 USD per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage clients’ day-to-day financial reporting operations and organize reporting cycles.
• Review fund financial statements, schedules of investments, and notes for annual and semiannual shareholder reports.
• Manage fund and audit deadlines, review deliverables, and support accurate and timely SEC filings.
• Serve as a point of contact for external clients and coordinate auditor open items, questions, and comments.
• Provide technical guidance on investment and derivative products, financial statement preparation, and auditor inquiries.
• Work with business areas to identify automation needs and provide ongoing systems support.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of recent experience in fund administration, financial reporting, or a related industry.
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Detailed knowledge of financial statements and prior experience reviewing them.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 815 and ASC 820, derivatives, and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
• Experience with SEC forms N-CSR, N-MFP, N-PORT, and N-CEN, as well as advanced Microsoft products.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Degree in accounting or CPA certification.
• Experience with DFIN Arc Reporting, Bloomberg, Global InvestOne, and financial reporting systems.
