TL;DR
.NET Lead Developer (.NET/SQL Server): Leading enterprise applications for the FactorTrust Bureau platform, covering architecture, development, deployment, support, and continuous improvement with an accent on platform reliability, cloud transformation, and scalable Microsoft-based solutions. Focus on designing enterprise-scale systems, resolving complex issues across cloud and hybrid infrastructures, and driving automated delivery, testing, and configuration management.
Location: Remote in Lagunilla de Heredia, Costa Rica. Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM–10:00 PM; occasional in-person attendance at work-related events may be required.

What you will do
- Lead the fulfillment and back-office applications for the FactorTrust Bureau platform, ensuring operational stability, reliability, and successful delivery.
- Manage, coach, and mentor a team of full-time associates and contractors.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from solution design and development through deployment, support, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee application architecture, system design, technology changes, incident management, change management, and service KPIs.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, pair programming, design guidance, repository management, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, operations, DevOps, SRE, data governance, release management, and corporate teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, STEM, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 10+ years of software development experience in enterprise application development.
- Strong experience with .NET Framework, SQL Server, SaaS/PaaS product development, cloud services, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Git, API development using Spring Boot, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Deployment, and automated configuration management.
- Experience leading software delivery across the full development lifecycle and translating business requirements into enterprise-scale solutions.
- Ability to mentor engineers, conduct code and design reviews, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Nice to have
- Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer certification.
- Experience with Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, front-end development, or usability.
- Experience supporting cloud-native and desktop business applications for U.S. market credit platforms.
- Experience cross-training and mentoring junior engineers.
