Fabrication Mechanic - Assembly (Trainee) - 1st & 2nd Shift Available

Location: Onsite in Laconia, New Hampshire, USA. Full-time position with 1st- and 2nd-shift training available. Second shift runs Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM; second-shift employees must train on first shift.

STS Aerospace, part of hirify.global, manufactures aerospace tube and hose assemblies for hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic, waste, and exhaust systems.

What you will do

• Fabricate, assemble, install, salvage, and repair rigid and flexible metal tube assemblies, fixtures, equipment, and products.
• Prepare hoses for assembly by removing rubber, buffing ends, connecting fittings, and applying RTV.
• Set up and operate abrasive, squaring, deburring, sizing, swaging, and crimping equipment.
• Read blueprints, method sheets, process sheets, policies, and procedures to manufacture tube assemblies.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and procedural quality checks, including measurements of angles, radii, clearances, threads, and wall thickness.
• Handle, position, clean, stack, and transport materials, tools, dies, workpieces, and work in process.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months of related experience or training is acceptable; trainee training is available.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hand tools, reach, and perform close-vision and focus-adjustment tasks.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• Consistent, regular, and punctual attendance is required.
