Property Tax Manager

What you will do

• Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of real and personal property tax returns.
• Research property tax laws, emerging regulations, valuation topics, and state and local requirements.
• Manage assessments, appeals, audits, notices, inquiries, and relationships with taxing authorities.
• Identify tax credits, abatements, and incentive opportunities for new and existing projects.
• Support property tax forecasting, budgeting, accruals, and process improvement across a growing multi-state portfolio.
• Partner with Finance, Real Estate, Legal, Operations, and external advisors on growth initiatives and tax risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in property tax, consulting, corporate, or legal environments.
• Strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Hands-on experience with PTMS, OneSource Property Tax, or another enterprise-level property tax management system.
• Proficiency with tax software such as PTMS or SAP and Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

• CMI designation, CPA, or JD.
