Software Engineer 2 (SDET) (AI)

What you will do

• Design, build, and modernize automated test frameworks, tooling, and suites for DNA sequencing instruments.
• Develop and run API, UI, service-level, functional, and end-to-end tests integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• Own test coverage and product quality from design through production release, working closely with developers on testability and code quality.
• Build and improve test infrastructure, deployment workflows, environments, and orchestration across cloud and distributed systems.
• Use AI-assisted tools for test authoring, debugging, coverage improvement, failure analysis, root-cause analysis, and release documentation.
• Participate in design and code reviews and collaborate with project managers, developers, and QA peers in Singapore and the United States.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in software test development, automation engineering, or software development.
• Hands-on experience with modern UI and API automation frameworks and the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience building end-to-end, API, and service-level automated tests integrated with CI/CD.
• Strong debugging skills across application, test, and infrastructure layers, with a developer-first and automation-oriented mindset.
• Ability to reason about architecture, trade-offs, reliability, observability, and system quality.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field.

• Experience in biotech, bioinformatics, or scientific instrumentation software.
