Assistant QA Specialist (Environmental Testing)

Location: Onsite at the Earth City, Missouri laboratory, United States

Salary: $19–$21 per hour, plus overtime as needed

What you will do

• Perform quality assurance data audits and internal laboratory surveillance to support compliance with policies and procedures.
• Schedule, process, and report proficiency testing and quality control samples.
• Issue controlled and uncontrolled documents and help maintain SOPs, method documentation, and laboratory reference data in LIMS.
• Support internal and external audits, client visits, certification applications, and responses to laboratory method questions.
• Maintain employee training records, technical record indices, archives, subcontract laboratory information, and equipment calibration records.
• Help identify recurring nonconformances, recommend resolutions, and assist operations personnel with QA SOPs, MDL spreadsheets, and MDL study reviews.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some college chemistry coursework, including laboratory experience.
• One to two years of laboratory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental analytical methods, environmental regulatory requirements, and quality assurance requirements.
• Computer, communication, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available. Professional working proficiency in English is required.
