Quality Assurance Manager (Environmental Testing)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, USA; onsite

Salary: USD 50,000–70,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve the laboratory Quality Assurance Manual and quality system.
• Conduct system, data, special, and external audits; prepare audit reports and approve responses.
• Act as the final authority on data quality, data integrity, ethics, and the acceptance or rejection of analytical data.
• Manage proficiency testing, laboratory certifications, QC records, SOPs, technical records, and monthly QA reporting.
• Provide quality systems and ethics training, maintain analyst training records, and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Investigate nonconformances, complaints, and data quality events through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Requirements

• BS or BA degree in Chemistry or another science.
• At least five years of bench-level analytical experience plus formal QA training, or two years of QA experience.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Knowledge of environmental methodologies, regulatory requirements, analytical laboratory techniques, QA requirements, and statistical principles.
• Technical writing, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, communication, supervisory, computer, spreadsheet, and database skills.
