2027 Elevate Program and 2028 Assurance Intern (Accounting)

Location: Chicago, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required, with reliable transportation available.

Salary: $34–$40 per hour for the internship. Elevate participation itself is unpaid; conference-related travel and participation expenses are covered.

What you will do

• Participate in the three-day Elevate leadership conference and year-long professional development experience.
• Build communication, collaboration, business acumen, presentation, networking, and professional presence skills.
• Understand client businesses, industries, accounting and control systems, and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues.
• Learn and apply the hirify.global audit approach and tools across multiple client engagements.
• Assess risks, evaluate internal controls, and perform substantive and control tests.
• Identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues and draft financial statements in prescribed formats.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited accounting degree program.
• Working toward a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree, with an accounting major.
• At least 90 completed credit hours by the start of the internship.
• Anticipated full-time associate start date of Fall 2029 or Winter 2030.
• Campus or community leadership experience, strong communication skills, teamwork, and interest in client-focused advisory services.
• Must be able to travel to assigned client locations and arrange reliable transportation; hirify.global does not sponsor entry-level candidates requiring current or future immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.4 GPA.
• Experience with student organizations and community leadership.
