2027 Elevate Program and 2028 Tax Intern (Accounting)

Location: Chicago, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required, with reliable transportation available.

Salary: $34–$40 per hour for the internship. Elevate participation itself is unpaid; conference travel and participation expenses are covered.

What you will do

• Participate in a three-day leadership conference and continued professional development through the Elevate program.
• Build knowledge of clients’ businesses, industries, accounting systems, control systems, and reporting requirements.
• Develop an understanding of audit approaches and related tools.
• Assess risks and evaluate clients’ internal control structures.
• Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
• Draft financial statements under prescribed formats and contribute to multiple client engagements.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited accounting degree program.
• Working toward a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• At least 90 credit hours completed by the internship.
• Expected full-time associate start date of Fall 2029 or Winter 2030.
• Demonstrated leadership and involvement in campus or community organizations, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
