Imagery Scientist (EO) - Senior

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Assess differences between new electro-optical sensor characteristics and currently used platforms.
• Evaluate metadata, data formats, data structures, database schemas, APIs, and ETL processes for data ingestion and movement.
• Determine data acquisition methods, acquisition latency, formats, and security domains.
• Pre-process and standardize imagery for labeling and machine learning model testing.
• Convert file formats and tile full-size images according to specified sizes or geospatial bounds.
• Support imagery exploitation, quantitative analysis, and recommendations for data curation and algorithm evaluation.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI/Poly.
• 4+ years of expert EO imagery exploitation and imagery science experience.
• Experience with EO collection systems, remote sensing phenomenology, image formation processes, exploitation products, and exploitation methodologies.
• Experience using EO imagery to detect, identify, and locate objects of interest.
• Experience developing and evaluating algorithms, automated scientific workflows, and scientific exploitation methods.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical audiences, non-technical stakeholders, and intelligence users.

• Experience applying computer vision and machine learning techniques to EO imagery and data for intelligence problems.
