Plant Manager (Process Industry)

Location: Pengerang, Malaysia; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Lead the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Pengerang air separation unit and related facilities.
• Manage production activities, quality, delivery schedules, operating budgets, and productivity improvement targets.
• Implement process safety management, operational discipline, reliability programs, audits, and applicable management systems.
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure facilities and equipment are properly built, maintained, and optimized.
• Drive continuous improvement across safety, people, service, quality, reliability, and cost.
• Develop the local organization, support business growth, and establish operations systems for new plants and production sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree related to process industry or operations management; an engineering or business management background is suitable.
• About 10 years of experience in a similar process-industrial environment, including more than 3 years managing people.
• Deep knowledge of EHS compliance in chemical or process industries, including OSHA, process safety management, and DOSH.
• Leadership, communication, negotiation, influencing, mentoring, analytical, and decisive decision-making skills.
• High professional ethics, sound judgment, and a results-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in engineering or business management.
• Air separation unit experience.
• Strong understanding of P&L, financial, and accounting practices.
