What you will do

• Provide technical direction on SAR imagery and the full imagery acquisition and preparation lifecycle.
• Integrate emerging sensors and platforms into existing data pipelines, workflows, databases, schemas, APIs, and ETL processes.
• Assess sensor characteristics, phenomenology, metadata, data formats, security domains, acquisition latency, and platform limitations.
• Develop preprocessing and standardization methods, including file conversion and tiling full-size imagery for labeling and model development.
• Develop mathematical models to transform labels across phase history, complex image, and magnitude-detected imagery.
• Generate geospatially precise, orthorectified tiles while maintaining metadata and data integrity.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain a CI/Poly.
• Understanding of SAR collection and phenomenology, image formation, exploitation products, and remote sensing principles.
• Hands-on experience with SARPy and the MATLAB SAR Toolbox.
• Experience with RNIIRS, information-theoretic image quality metrics, ISLR, MNR, and sensor metadata describing geometry impacts such as graze, squint, and azimuth.
• Experience exploiting SAR imagery to determine the occurrence and location of objects of interest.
• Experience developing and evaluating algorithms, exploitation methodologies, and automated workflows using Python, MATLAB, and Google Earth Engine.
