Logistics Lead (12hr Day Shift)

Location: Wheeling, Illinois, USA; onsite full-time role. Work hours are 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM on a 2-2-3 shift schedule.

What you will do

• Coordinate daily distribution-floor activities, shift meetings, and communication across the organization.
• Plan and schedule efficient loading dock operations and manage material flows.
• Handle bulk materials and finished goods, including inventory such as soybean oil and vinegar.
• Lead distribution safety efforts, training activities, and timely operational problem resolution.
• Interface with supply vendors and the dedicated onsite fleet to support department operations.
• Participate in quality audits, troubleshoot palletizer performance, manage recyclables, and drive improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the distribution department.
• Strong interpersonal, multitasking, communication, coordination, prioritization, and training skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions using available information and support plant operations.
• Ability to use network computer applications and electronic mail.
• Successful completion of training identified on the Technology Matrix.
