Sr. Associate, Commercial Real Estate

Location: Onsite in Addison, Texas, or Montpelier, Vermont; in-office four days per week on Monday through Thursday.

Salary: $86,625–$127,050 USD per year, plus potential incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Support management of a multi-billion-dollar commercial real estate loan portfolio across asset classes.
• Monitor loan performance, covenant compliance, leasing activity, borrower requests, watchlist assets, and REO assets.
• Perform financial analysis, re-underwriting, stress testing, DCF modeling, valuation, and market analysis.
• Support loan modifications, extensions, restructurings, foreclosures, note sales, and other distressed scenarios.
• Build portfolio analytics, KPIs, stress models, dashboards, reporting automation, and data-quality improvements.
• Partner with originations, legal, accounting, servicing, IT, borrowers, and mortgage bankers on investments and platform improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4–6 years of related experience, with at least 8 years of combined post-secondary education and relevant work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, lending, or credit.
• Experience contributing to a large CRE loan portfolio, underwriting, or financial analysis.
• Strong DCF modeling, valuation, real estate credit analysis, portfolio analytics, stress testing, and risk-modeling skills.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and drive initiatives through completion.

Nice to have

• Experience with loan workouts, bridge lending, or transitional assets.
• Familiarity with commercial loan servicing or asset management platforms.
• Argus Enterprise certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience presenting to investment committees or senior leadership.
• MBA or advanced degree in real estate, finance, or a related field.
