Electrician Journeyman

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee, United States; onsite at CSUSA-SHO HQ and commercial construction job sites across East Tennessee

What you will do

• Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install commercial electrical components, including conduit, boxes, wiring, breakers, and transformers.
• Pull and connect insulated wires and cables to complete circuits.
• Use testing equipment to verify circuit connections, electrical compatibility, and component safety.
• Apply electrical theory, mathematics, blueprint reading, and code requirements to job-site work.
• Work alongside and train helpers and apprentices with minimal direct supervision.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial journeyman electrician experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work in commercial electrical settings.
• Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Accurate basic mathematics and consistent adherence to safety standards and company values.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and bad weather, including at heights and in small spaces.
• Physical ability to stand and walk throughout the workday, perform frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and reaching, and lift or carry up to 60 pounds.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Apprenticeship training in blueprint reading, electrical theory, electronics, mathematics, and electrical code requirements.
