Secured Network Services Lead Engineer

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week in the office at the Saint Petersburg, Florida or Denver, Colorado corporate office. Occasional nights, weekends, or on-call work may be required.

Salary: $100,000–$200,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support and administer next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, and other perimeter security technologies.
• Maintain system uptime, reliability, stability, policies, configurations, and technical documentation.
• Monitor applications and error logs, configure alerts, and automate administration tasks.
• Troubleshoot complex system problems, taking ownership through resolution.
• Analyze performance trends and maintain departmental metrics and reporting.
• Provide daily technical guidance and oversight to engineering teams and may serve as a team lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in network or information security, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong networking experience with protocols, routers, firewalls, TCP, and DHCP.
• Experience with advanced firewall functions, including NAT, transparent deployments, IDS/IPS, URL inspection, HTTPS decryption, and antivirus.
• Knowledge of information security programs, regulatory requirements, DDoS mitigation, vulnerability assessment, incident management, and secure configurations.
• This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Security and control certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC.
• Experience with Windows, UNIX, SQL, or Tandem platforms.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and basic programming concepts.
