Sr. Managing Director, Head of Institutional Products (Insurance)

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; full-time onsite role

Base pay: $275,000–$325,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and potential long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead the Institutional Products team and manage relationships with institutional clients, dealers, peers, and investment banks.
• Oversee underwriting, pricing, negotiation, and execution of traditional GIC bids and transactions.
• Direct GIC sales administration, including contract issuance, documentation, system records, and payment authorizations.
• Coordinate MTN transaction documentation with Legal, external counsel, and auditors.
• Define and execute the PRT product strategy to support growth and profitability targets.
• Oversee financial projections, regulatory reporting, quarterly results, planning, actuarial coordination, and treasury-related activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 15+ years of broad insurance experience, including investment, asset-liability management, financial modeling, and risk analysis.
• 10+ years of experience working with institutional products.
• Practical knowledge of MTN programs, federal and state insurance regulations, underwriting, pricing, compliance, and PRT strategy.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, collaboration, negotiation, and execution skills.
• FSA or CFA designation is preferred.
