Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support AI-powered applications, workflows, automation tools, and user-facing integrations.
• Develop applications and services using Python, APIs, LLMs, and enterprise data from structured and unstructured sources.
• Build and maintain models, data pipelines, reusable code, documentation, and delivery tooling.
• Support model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, retraining, and continuous improvement workflows.
• Analyze model performance, reliability, latency, cost efficiency, drift, and operational issues, supporting corrective actions.
• Collaborate with data science, product, data engineering, platform, business, supplier, and customer-facing teams.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 3–6 years of experience in software engineering, AI, data engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience building business applications.
• Experience with AI or generative AI solutions, LLM technologies, enterprise data, and APIs.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or OpenAI/Azure OpenAI APIs.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, accountability, and collaboration skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, data modeling, OCR, or document processing.
• Familiarity with Power Platform, Copilot Studio, or similar automation tools.
• Exposure to ERP, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or other enterprise systems.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
