Surgical Technology Instructor Per Diem

What you will do

• Educate students through technological, academic, and hands-on surgical technology training.
• Prepare and deliver lesson plans adapted to students’ abilities, learning styles, and accommodation needs.
• Define syllabus competencies and evaluate student performance through cooperative learning, reports, and teamwork.
• Provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling, referring at-risk students to student services and the Campus Director.
• Participate in academic committees and contribute to program and student-life enrichment.
• Follow state, Department of Education, and accreditation regulations.

Requirements

• Associate degree required, from a school accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• At least three of the past five years in an operating room, teaching, or a combination of both.
• Applicants with teaching experience must have at least three years of operating-room experience at some point in their career.
• Healthcare Provider and Basic Instructor CPR certification.
• Computer proficiency, ability to learn new applications quickly, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
