Welding QC Engineer

Location: Asab, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Prepare quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans, and review construction documents for welding compliance.
• Monitor welding activities across design, procurement, construction, testing, and final handover.
• Manage welding inspections and testing, including oversight of QC Inspectors and coordination with third-party testing and inspection companies.
• Review and approve welder qualifications, WPS, and PQR qualifications.
• Maintain inspection, testing, calibration, and quality records, and support statistical analysis of test data.
• Identify and resolve welding non-conformances, coordinate corrective actions, audits, client inspections, and punch-list closeout.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering and a master’s degree in Welding.
• At least 12 years of related experience; Oil & Gas project experience is required, and ADNOC experience is advantageous.
• Professional welding engineering certification such as IWE or CWE.
• ASNT Level II certification in RT, UT, MT, and PT.
• ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification; Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
• CSWIP 3.1 certification is required; CSWIP 3.2 is preferred, with knowledge of ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, API 1104, ISO 13847, SHELL DEP, and ADNOC specifications.
