Credit Risk Manager

Location: Chicago, United States

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 USD base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead counterparty and credit risk management by conducting diligence and credit analysis of clients, counterparties, and credit investments.
• Own and develop the firm’s credit risk framework and advise senior leadership on emerging risks, products, and strategic oversight.
• Recommend internal credit risk ratings and prepare written assessments supporting periodic rating reviews.
• Perform portfolio reviews and evaluate potential exposures across the firm’s trading activities.
• Co-lead the Credit Risk Committee with the CFO and CRO by preparing analytics, metrics, trends, and recommendations for senior management.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in counterparty or credit risk management.
• Ability to resolve complex client challenges and learn new products through collaboration with business partners.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Python, and data visualization tools.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and confidence working with senior leadership.

• Experience in the proprietary trading industry.
• Credit risk experience analyzing commodities producers and consumers, digital assets, or financial institutions.
