Junior Trading Operations Analyst (Energy Markets)

What you will do

• Support trading desks by handling ad-hoc queries from traders and stakeholders.
• Perform daily PnL reconciliation and reporting, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Monitor pricing and risk, identifying and escalating issues when necessary.
• Investigate operational breaks across internal systems, brokers, and exchanges.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve trade-related and operational issues.
• Improve processes, controls, reporting, and tools to reduce manual work and operational risk.

Requirements

• 0–2+ years of experience in trading, operations, or a data-focused role.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to debug issues across data, systems, and workflows.
• Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience with Python and/or SQL for data analysis.
• Interest in trading and energy markets.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, real-time environment and communicate confidently with traders and stakeholders.

• Experience with or interest in automating workflows.
