Career Counselor / Coach

Location: Riverton, Wyoming, USA; onsite, full-time

hirify.global provides workforce development services through Job Corps programs that support young people in education, career preparation, and community transition.

What you will do

• Manage a caseload of Job Corps participants and provide career technical, academic, social, personal, and career development counseling.
• Assess student progress, maintain records in CIS, update projection data weekly, and complete required reviews, reports, and evaluations.
• Help students set short- and long-term goals, continue education or training, resolve personal barriers, and prepare employability plans.
• Connect students with community services, mental health support, referrals, and resources needed for successful transition.
• Collaborate with departments, resident advisors, the Mental Health Consultant, Review Boards, and the Career Management Team.
• Co-facilitate social skills and employability sessions, participate in orientation, and serve as Counselor on Duty during rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, including 15 semester hours of social services-related instruction.
• At least one year of counseling or related experience.
• Experience working with a diverse youth population.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to follow safety practices, maintain accountability, and support a respectful environment free from harassment and intimidation.
