VP, Investments - Brookfield Special Investments (Private Equity)

Location: hirify.global Place New York, 225 Liberty Street, 8th Floor

Base salary: $375,000–$425,000 per year, plus short-term and long-term incentive programs.

What you will do

• Lead commercial, financial, operational, technology, HR, insurance, regulatory, and legal diligence workstreams.
• Oversee financial modeling, valuation, transaction analysis, and creative capital-solution structures.
• Develop and execute value creation plans with operational teams during diligence and portfolio management.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, develop sector theses, maintain relationships with bankers and executives, and present opportunities to the investment committee.
• Monitor portfolio financial and operational performance, quarterly valuations, and internal reporting.
• Manage and mentor Senior Associates, Associates, and Analysts while setting quality standards for investment deliverables.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years of direct investing experience.
• Strong academic record and an undergraduate degree; MBA, CFA, or another advanced qualification is an asset.
• Experience at a non-control, capital-solutions, large-scale buyout, or upper-middle-market buyout fund.
• Proven ability to lead junior investment professionals through end-to-end transaction execution.
• Superior financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
• Strong judgment, analytical rigor, ownership mentality, resilience, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Experience executing hybrid capital-solution transactions.
• MBA, CFA designation, or another relevant advanced qualification.
