Credit Risk Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid position based in the Farmington Hills, MI office three days per week, with two days from home.

What you will do

• Analyze creditworthiness, credit data, and financial statements for prospective commercial insurance accounts.
• Collaborate with underwriting staff, producers, partner agency management, and operations teams on credit risk recommendations.
• Recommend and draft credit protection plans, payment arrangements, billing procedures, and credit terms for premium payment or risk acceptance.
• Interact with agents and insurers regarding credit determinations and adequacy of charges.
• Participate in account and agency visits as required and verify policy estimates.
• Minimize bad debt risk, maximize accounts receivable collections, and meet turnaround-time standards within the service model.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in customer service, finance, or accounting.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within the department and across the organization.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with all organizational levels.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
