Junior Designer - Womenswear Sportswear (Sportswear/Product Design): Developing womenswear sportswear collections for USA Pro and Slazenger from trend research and creative concepts through garment development, fittings, approvals, and production with an accent on functional, performance-driven, and commercially relevant product. Focus on creating CADs and technical drawings, developing fabrics, trims, prints, and branding, and collaborating with buying, garment technology, product development teams, and overseas suppliers.

What you will do
- Support the design and development of womenswear sportswear collections for USA Pro and Slazenger across performance, fitness, training, and lifestyle products.
- Research fashion and sportswear trends, competitors, colours, fabrics, prints, graphics, and silhouettes to identify product opportunities.
- Create mood boards, trend presentations, colour stories, CADs, technical drawings, colourways, and specification information.
- Develop product details including fabrics, trims, panels, colour blocking, branding, prints, graphics, and functional features.
- Collaborate with Buying, Garment Technology, Product Development, overseas suppliers, and factories throughout development, fittings, approvals, and production.
- Review samples, contribute to fit sessions and range reviews, manage samples, and provide accurate development comments against critical path deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience in fashion, sportswear, or product design, ideally with a retailer, supplier, or sportswear brand.
- Passion for womenswear, sportswear, activewear, and product design, with an understanding of current trends and commercial product.
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop, plus excellent CAD and technical drawing skills.
- Understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, performance fabrics, and product development.
- Strong commercial awareness of the UK and international sportswear market, with excellent organisation, communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple developments, deadlines, and supplier communications.
Nice to have
- Sportswear or activewear design experience.
- Experience with AI design tools or generative AI.
