Database Engineer (Microsoft SQL Server)

Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, migrate, administer, and configure Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Work with SQL databases including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB.
• Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Apache-related database technologies, and Neo4j.
• Advise developers, testers, and DevOps engineers on database operation best practices.
• Share operational responsibility for production environments, SLAs, and 24x7 on-call support.
• Contribute to electronic road-charging solutions covering vehicle registration, toll calculation, position data, and fleet billing.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL databases.
• Experience with one or more NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, Apache-related technologies, or Neo4j.
• Knowledge of scripting with Ansible AWX.
• Experience working in agile environments and collaborating as a team player.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
