Software Developer (C++)

Location: Hybrid role based in Mülheim-Kärlich, Germany

What you will do

• Develop and optimize modern C++ software for sensor-based industrial sorting machines.
• Build and improve inference pipelines for embedded and edge devices.
• Implement software modules, features, and machine logic.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, test, and validate software directly on machines under real operating conditions.
• Integrate AI and deep-learning models into productive machine environments.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, production, and service teams while improving software quality and documenting technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong C++ development skills.
• At least 3 years of software development experience in industrial, embedded, or machine-related environments.
• Analytical problem-solving skills, independent ownership of technical topics, and interest in industrial systems and hands-on engineering.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded or real-time systems.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, deep learning, image processing, or machine vision.
• Experience with multithreading and hardware-software interfaces.
• Basic TypeScript, HTML, and CSS skills.
• Python knowledge or German language skills.
