Laboratory Manager (Medical Devices)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; full-time onsite role

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Oversee daily laboratory operations, work planning, reporting, and application of laboratory procedures.
• Supervise laboratory personnel, assess performance, define recruitment needs, and coordinate onboarding and training.
• Maintain data integrity and review test data and documentation for compliance with company procedures and specifications.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and selected or purchased as required.
• Conduct timely testing and use laboratory instrumentation and computer systems to collect and record data.
• Deploy laboratory quality, health, safety, environmental, and waste-control policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of laboratory experience in regulated pharmaceutical or medical-device industries.
• 3+ years of laboratory operations and personnel management experience.
• Experience with Measurement System Analysis, Gage R&R, Design of Experiments, and mechanical testing.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, documentation, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

• Experience with laboratory information management systems.
