Legal Counsel (E-commerce)

Location: Hong Kong

Global local-delivery platform operating across around 65 countries as part of the Delivery Hero Group, headquartered in Berlin.

What you will do

• Provide legal advice to Hong Kong business verticals on regulatory, intellectual property, e-commerce, employment, privacy, competition, and technology matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with marketing partners, suppliers, restaurants, and other third parties.
• Review products, features, and business initiatives while providing practical advice and managing legal risk.
• Partner with legal teams in Berlin and the APAC region to align legal matters and standards.
• Improve standard agreements and legal processes, and manage external advisors when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and qualification as a Hong Kong solicitor or equivalent qualification in a common law jurisdiction.
• 1–4 years of post-qualification experience in commercial legal matters at a leading law firm or an in-house platform, e-commerce, or internet technology company.
• Strong legal knowledge with contract negotiation, legal writing, and drafting skills.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, work independently, and communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience in competition, privacy, or regulatory law.
• Experience in fast-paced startup or technology environments.
• Ability to communicate in Cantonese and/or Mandarin.
