What you will do

• Develop, test, and validate embedded software for Microchip 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers using C/C++.
• Define and drive application-specific software products from concept through implementation readiness.
• Apply secure-by-design methodologies aligned with the Cyber Resilience Act and relevant security standards.
• Collaborate with QA and Functional Safety experts to support ASPICE and functional safety compliance.
• Work cross-functionally with silicon design, system architecture, firmware, and security teams.
• Perform architectural trade-off analysis, technical reviews, risk assessments, test planning, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in embedded systems, semiconductor, electronic product development, or a related field.
• Hands-on programming experience in C/C++ and Python, including production-quality or prototype-level code.
• Strong experience with microcontrollers and application-specific software products.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-disciplinary, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction across teams.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• Knowledge of secure-by-design concepts, threat modeling, and hardware security fundamentals.
• Experience or strong understanding of Functional Safety requirements and standards.
