Flooring Technician

Location: Honolulu and Waikiki, Hawaii, USA. Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, with on-call work as needed and travel between multiple properties.

Compensation: $23.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Install, repair, and replace carpet, vinyl, LVP, laminate, and tile flooring in apartment units.
• Remove existing flooring, dispose of debris, and prepare subfloors through leveling and patching.
• Install transitions, trim, baseboards, and other finishing materials according to company and manufacturer standards.
• Measure materials, maintain inventory, and coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors.
• Inspect completed work, document materials used, and maintain tools and a clean, safe work environment.
• Travel between properties and participate in technical and safety training.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of flooring installation experience, preferably in multifamily or residential settings.
• Experience using carpet stretchers, seam irons, tile cutters, and other installation tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
