Programme Lead – Pharmaceutical Drug Delivery Systems

What you will do

• Lead complex, strategically significant pharmaceutical drug delivery programmes from blank sheet development through clinical reality and transfer to manufacture.
• Develop innovative systems including injectables, infusion pumps, microcatheters, and active implants.
• Balance technical, regulatory, commercial, and client requirements while accelerating timelines and managing risk.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams with rigour, agility, and care, while coaching colleagues across experience levels.
• Manage strategic client relationships, shape proposals, identify opportunities, and win follow-on work.
• Travel for in-person meetings and client engagements.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading complex, high-volume development programmes from concept through transfer to manufacture.
• Typically 10+ years of technical engineering experience in the medical device sector.
• Expertise in pharmaceutical injectable drug delivery device development and manufacture is preferred.
• Strong mechanical engineering and systems engineering fundamentals, with the ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems creatively.
• Experience guiding multidisciplinary teams and strong communication, collaboration, account management, and coaching skills.
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical drug delivery market and its regulatory and commercial demands.
